"As a listener, I see myself as someone who listens to a lot of ambient music.
And as a composer, I find this music genre fascinating, so it was natural for me to want to do so.
The idea for the project came to me one spring evening, at sunset, when I was at a party at a friend's house lost in the middle of the countryside. We decided to venture into the immense forest of several dozen hectares near her home. We stayed there for a few hours and this adventure will remain engraved in my memory. It was very special, and I wouldn't be able to adequately express the heavy and calm atmosphere that reigned during our wandering.
But it is, indeed, there that I had a click, lost in my thoughts: and what would happen if you would be alone in such a place, unknown and immense, left to your own devices?
And that's what "Simon Field" is about, a person like you and me lost in a seemingly unreal place. I told you that I wasn't able to tell you how I felt that night, getting lost in those woods, and it's true. However, I think I can help you feel what I experienced through music, and try to put you in the same unique state of mind I was in.
I hope that you will have a moment like no other listening to this project.
Sincerely yours, your storyteller Solstice."
